Dogs are man's supposed best friend. While plenty of people own dogs there is only limited space at the shelters that can't hold all of them. Usually, if a dog isn't adopted it is euthanized. There are certain breeds of dogs that are especially unlucky when it comes to being adopted because of harmful stereotypes that decrease their odds of adoption. Please adopt a rescue dog
Every year shelters must make space for new dogs and cats by euthanizing older ones in their possession. They do this because of lack of funds and/or the need to make room for new dogs who are left behind without a home or family. No one is there to give them the love and attention that they deserve. This sounds like one of those sappy commercials asking for a donation but I dont even want your money. I just want you to consider adopting from a shelter instead of supporting pure breeders the next time you think of getting a pet.
